2019 Red Ribbon Ride
Red Ribbon Ride 2019 is a fully supported 3 day, 200 mile bicycle ride from Minneapolis to Duluth, to raise vital funds for HIV/AIDS services, treatment, prevention and awareness. This year's Ride will be held on August 16 - 18, 2019, traveling from Minneapolis to Forest Lake, Camp One Heartland Center, and ending in Duluth.
Saturday night we will be staying at Camp One Heartland Center, a beautiful sleepaway camp in North Central MN creating life-changing camp experiences for youth facing social isolation, intolerance or serious health challenges, including HIV.
This three-day ride will features onsite housing and delicious home cooked meals, options for camping and all of the beauty and fun One Heartland has to offer (campfire, hiking, swimming, canoeing, goats). Transportation from Duluth to Minneapolis will be available.
The Red Ribbon Ride benefits 5 HIV/AIDS service agencies here in Minnesota; African American AIDS Task Force, Hope House of St. Croix Valley, One Heartland, Rural AIDS Action Network and The Aliveness Project. Whether you are first time participant, experienced veteran, looking for a physical challenge, cycling through Minnesota or have a connection to the cause the Red Ribbon Ride is for you. Join us. Twin Cities PRIDE (June - Loring Park)
Twin Cities Pride is committed to supporting, promoting, and collaborating with community groups to bring the greater LGBTQ+ community together to commemorate diverse heritage, foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, providing a safe environment in which individuals feel free to celebrate relationships, and achievements in equality. Sarah Simmons Showcase (November 30th)
Sarah Simmons Showcase happens every year and will be held at the Capri Theater located on 2021 West Broadway Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55411 between 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be Talent, Tacos, and HIV Testing. For more information feel free to contact Sandy Johnson: 651-201-4019.
World AIDS Day 2nd Annual Breakfast (December 1st)
This year, communities all over the world will be marking the 30th Anniversary of World AIDS Day. We hope you will join us and All God’s Children Metropolitan Community Church in attending the 2nd Annual World AIDS Day breakfast, Saturday, December 1 at 8:00 AM, with the theme “HIV Today: A Call for Unity and Action.” Our hope is to renew focus on uniting our communities and building deeper connections and collaboration in our effort to end HIV in our time.
AIDS Action Day (January 22, 2019)
AIDS Action Day is a day of action to protect the progress we've made and the policies which keep us going. We'll talk about what's happening in the legislature, meet with legislators, hear from great speakers, and rally together in support of critical treatments and services.
